Karen is a Master Director with Sweet Adelines International, and has been involved with music all her life. It began with piano lessons at the age of 9 and continued through high school with band/choir (including a barbershop quartet!), and is currently a pianist for the First Baptist Church of Wasilla. Karen was also the bass of the former 3-time regional medalist quartet, Backbeat Street.
Karen has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Production Operations Management and a second degree in Safety Management from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater where she was also an all-conference basketball player. She is currently a substitute teacher for the Mat-Su School District.
Karen serves as the SAI Region 13 Directors’ Coordinator and loves being the liason between the front-line directors and the Regional Management Team. She is currently a member of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) and the Contemporary a cappella Society of America (CASA)
Karen has two children, Harrison (10) and Melissa (8). Karen is easy to find in a crowd, find her anytime and she'll fill you in on the fun of barbershop!

Peggy is a Master Director with Sweet Adelines International, and her love of music takes her into many different musical venues, which include the roll of Musical Director at the First Congregational Church of Anchorage.
In the past fourteen years Peggy has showcased her comedic talents as well as musical and theatrical direction skills in Anchorage’s annual Fur Rondy Melodrama. Summer of 2006 she was the musical director for the Anchorage Theater of Youth production of Godspell Jr and the Trial of Goldilocks.
Peggy has a Bachelor of Arts in Arts Administration and a Bachelor of Music. She received her Masters of Teaching the spring of 2006 and is currently teaching classroom music for the Anchorage School District at Ptarmigan Elementary.
Peggy is currently a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, MENC, and the Choral Directors Association.
Peggy has two children, Jacklyn (18) and Bryan (15). Peggy is always looking for singers so if you sing in the check out line…watch out!
